As far as I believe, the XML sitemap should update automatically, is this based on pages that are deleted?
We have deleted and 301 redirected pages yet they are still appearing in the XML sitemap. Am I correct to believe these pages should have been automatically removed from the XML sitemap?

Every time I redirect a page do I have to manually update the XML sitemap? I’d much rather this be automatic.
