In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Add an image above the monthly calendarThank you, but after so many failures with this plugin I gave up and I’m using a different calendar plugin now, and had to start all over again because there was no way to import all of my locations and events.

In reply to: [My Calendar - Accessible Event Manager] Repetition PatternOkay, I did exactly what you said to do but I still get this error –
“Your event end date must be either after or the same as your event begin date”

In reply to: [Flipbox – Awesome Flip Boxes & Image Overlay for WordPress] Can’t add imagesI am prepared to buy the Pro version but I am having issues still with the free version. I finally found a template that worked and created a few flip boxes, then cloned one and edited it, but I am not able to add either frontend or backend images. They keep showing up blank so I don’t know if this is an issue with the plugin, my theme (Avada) or my hosting. I have filed a ticket with Avada.

In reply to: [Flipbox – Awesome Flip Boxes & Image Overlay for WordPress] Can’t add imagesOkay, I’ve struggled for hours trying to use a backend image but it’s not working. I think you said “sorry, it’s a pro feature”. I did watch a very good video about using the plugin and he showed using images in the free version, so I am confused. I urgently need this to work so just tell me if I need the Pro version for this to work.

In reply to: [My Calendar - Accessible Event Manager] Importing from The Events CalendarWell, even more confusion. As I said I used the WP Export plugin to create a CSV file from The Events Calendar, but although I could open it in Notepad, which is totally useless, I could not open it in Excel. Now I guess the choice is to start fresh with your plugin and reenter all the events and locations, a monumental task, but I can’t keep struggling with The Events Calendar, who pay no attention to the many issues.
The biggest issue is that they have no way to show events with no specific end time, so the events show the same start and end times, which is dumb. Not sure if it is your plugin but one did have a simple checkbox to hide the end time. I also hope that Canada can be shown as the default so I don’t need to add it to every location. Pricing is also an issue because many events have a different price to buy now and another at the door price. The major issue they ignore is that once you add an event you just get a 404 error until you update the event. Any feature image also appears on top of the event title which they also ignored.
As much as I hate to need to start over for some three hundred events and numerous locations I don’t think I have a choice when there is no way to properly import everything.

In reply to: [My Calendar - Accessible Event Manager] Importing from The Events CalendarYour documentation shows the following –
My Calendar Pro can import events from CSV or iCal sources, either via file upload or URL (Uniform Resource Locator). Managing events outside of My Calendar? Import them when you’re ready!but the link does not work. I do have a CSV file from The Events Calendar but I read somewhere that it had to be edited to work with your plugin.

In reply to: [My Calendar - Accessible Event Manager] Importing from The Events CalendarThanks for letting me know. I’ll look forward to it and keep struggling for now.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Add an image above the monthly calendarI’m lost so I apologize if I should not be adding this here.
I did finally find another plugin, WP All Export, which appears to have created a CSV file of the events in The Events Calendar. The issue now is that I’ve searched for hours on how to import this to My Calendar, but can’t find a thing. I think that the email I lost showing how to edit the CSV file is the first problem, but if I can’t import all my events and venues it will be pointless.
I’ve struggled with so many issues with The Events Calendar for months now and can’t get any support. They lost my license and my email so I can’t get paid support, and the free support is useless. From what I’ve seen My Calendar solves the issue with The Events Calendar so I’m anxious to use it, but entering all my events and venues again would take forever.
Appreciate any help.Doesn’t matter now because I can’t possibly afford the plugin anyway. Thanks.
Well, I actually finally got a detailed email from The Events Calendar forum telling me how to create and modify a CSV file, which I managed to lose somehow. I am hoping that your plugin will export my hundreds of events and numerous venues to a CSV file that I can then import into the My Calender plugin.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Add an image above the monthly calendarMy apologies. Someone was kind enough to send me detailed instructions on how to export my events and what changes to make to the CSV file, but for the life of me I can’t find the email now. I would sincerely appreciate it if someone could send me that email again.
I finally got a response from the forum telling me how to create and modify the CSV file to work, so I’ll give it a try.
