In reply to: mysql_connect not connectingThe db is correct. I can access it through a shell, Navicat and phpMyAdmin. Also all other programs that access mySQL databases are working correctly – they are written in PERL though.

We suspect we had a hacker on our site. Seems he tried to put in some redirects. We removed them and we’ve yet to find any other damage.
The thing is, I’ve tried to do a clean install to a new directory and as soon as I create the config (I did it both manually and through the install) the install.php starts returning blanks – as does all other site links. I don’t program PHP (though I do JAVA CGI PERL C++) so I can’t exactly follow the code – yet. (Don’t really want to learn PHP.) It seems like it’s breaking down when it goes to the database, but I’m not getting a “can’t connect” error.
ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

In reply to: Cannot get to blogActually, this is not a 404 error, it’s just not responding. Basically it’s just die in the middle of what it’s doing and not returning a page or an error.
Any thoughts – please?
