    Hi @wordmatej ,

    No problem, still, thank you for trying out Buttonizer! If you have any feedback, let us know πŸ™‚

    I’ve never seen that error before. It seems like the other plugins are also using Freemius and are somehow expecting Buttonizer to be active.

    Are you able to tell us the versions you are running of those plugins? Then we’ll simulate your case and try to reproduce it.

    Good to hear that removing the plugin directory solves the issue, but we still need to figure out what is causing it.

    I hope to hear from you soon.

    Hi blackflamingo,

    Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to change the icon on hover.

    This does however sounds like a great idea!
    I’ll add this into our feature request list.

    We’re currently building a new version of Buttonizer and we’ve improved our saving system that will allow us to add much more options into Buttonizer.

    Please look forward to it! πŸ™‚

    Hi Thorsten! ( @per4mance )

    Thanks for your quick reply! And I appreciate the efforts of your message and the information you give us. Are you able to let us know what the outcome is of Complianz as soon they’ve replied to you?

    We didn’t knew that Germany has a more strict interpretation of the GDPR, but that’s a good thing to know!

    We’ll make it more clear in our dashboard interface in the future when someone will turn on a setting that uses a certain cookie to be functional (just as a notice). But most of the times Buttonizer won’t set any cookie, so it realy depends on the Buttonizer settings that the site is using.

    If you have any other feedback, let us know!

    Cheers!

    Hi Thorsten! ( @per4mance )

    Thank you for your post! It’s great to hear you like Buttonizer! I’d like to clarify how Buttonizer uses cookies on your websites and is following the GDPR. Please let me know if you have any further questions/additional notes.

    The cookie law forces website owners to inform visitors about cookies they set that concerns the privacy of the visitor. Functional cookies that make the website work better without any privacy concerns are excluded from that law.

    The Buttonizer cookie you are talking about is only for functional use, we do not store that information in your database or anywhere else. Also it’s not possible to track the visitor using the cookie as it’s only contains a boolean or timestamp, no unique user identifier is set or read.

    The javascript frontend is the only part in the application that uses those cookies to interact with the menus an admin created.

    Only in some situations a cookie is set
    Also, the functional cookies will only be set if a Buttonizer admin uses one of the following functions in Buttonizer:
    – Open Buttonizer menu by default at first page load (boolean, feature in Buttonizer Free)
    – Show Buttonizer menu after several amount of seconds (timestamp, feature in Buttonizer Pro)
    – Buttonizer exit intent, when set on ‘only once per session’. (Sessioncookie, timestamp, feature in Buttonizer Pro)

    In all other situations no cookies are set.

    So we do not store any personal information in that cookie and Buttonizer does not track users by itself.

    Site owners decision
    It’s up to the website admin what they do with the cookies, if they read the cookies in the backand and do other things with them then we’ve intended, then they should inform their users and ask for permission before they do that.

    When you use Buttonizer in a correct way, Buttonizer is following the GDPR.

    Also, because of your post I’ve created a knowledgebase topic that clarifies the use of cookies by Buttonizer: https://community.buttonizer.pro/knowledgebase/164

    Let me know if this clarifies everything about how Buttonizer uses cookies πŸ™‚

    By the way, it’s interesting, sad and a bit scary to see that the EU website has no kind of SSL certificate for such an important website…

    Hi kingfisher64,

    We have updated the method to call the Elementor popup so that users won’t have to install another plugin.

    Buttonizer will now produce a code that you can copy and paste into Open By Selector in your Elementor popup’s settings.

    Hi teeboy4real,

    Here’s a newer script that should work on the latest version of Buttonizer.

    You will need to change the “INPUT_HERE” into your text input’s class or id. ( Don’t forget to add a # for id and . for class )

    Then you can simply copy and paste it into your site’s header or footer! πŸ™‚

    <script>

        // Run after Buttonizer is loaded
        function buttonizerInitialized() {

          // Hide Buttonizer when focus is on input
          document.querySelector("INPUT_HERE").addEventListener('focus', () => {
              document.querySelector('.buttonizer').style.opacity = '0';
          });

          // Show Buttonizer
          document.querySelector("INPUT_HERE").addEventListener('blur', () => {
              document.querySelector('.buttonizer').style.opacity = '100';
          });

        }
    </script>

    Hi kingrokun,

    Thanks for reaching out to us!

    I took a look at your site and saw that you are using the menu style, Square.

    The label of the style “Square” is always set to “Show on Hover”.
    The reason why it’s like this is because when there are multiple buttons, the labels will not have the same width and will result in a group of buttons looking “jagged”.

    I recommend using the menu style “Rectangle”.
    Rectangle will always show the labels. It will also set all the labels into the same width.

    Hi heatheradams,

    The cookie “buttonizer-first-visit” is saved when the setting Timeout is used.
    Its purpose is to get the current time when the user arrives on the site.

    The timeout function will then check the first visit time of the customer and check if it should do the timeout animation.

    Please let me know if you need to know more!

    Hi @vvalladolid !

    Thank you for working on the Spanish Mexico translations of Buttonizer! That’s very appreciated and would be very cool to have that language available for our users!

    Are you able to email us the translations via the email address that is provided in the Buttonizer community topic? Then we are able to email you back with more information and stay in contact πŸ™‚

    Hi vvalladolid,

    Glad to hear that the temporay method of changing the language worked!

    Could you check if your Facebook Messenger button in Buttonizer has your Facebook pageID?

    I think Buttonizer was just opening your Official Messenger Customer Chat and not the one that Buttonizer will include.

    I took a look at your site and noticed that the Messenger Chat was opening away from Buttonizer. If it was the Messenger Chat that Buttonizer includes, it will position itself on the button.

    Please let me know if this was the solution!

    You can the language of the Messenger Chat Widget by pasting this code after the <body> tag:

          <div id="fb-root"></div>
          <script>
            window.fbAsyncInit = function() {
              FB.init({
                xfbml            : true,
                version          : 'v4.0'
              });
            };

            (function(d, s, id) {
            var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];
            if (d.getElementById(id)) return;
            js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id;
            js.src = 'https://connect.facebook.net/es_ES/sdk/xfbml.customerchat.js';
            fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);
          }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));</script>

    I recommend using the plugin Header, Footer and Post injections to paste the code.

    Let me know if this method worked for you!

    Hi vvalladolid,

    Thank you for contributing in translating Buttonizer!
    We very much appreciate it and would love to see Buttonizer in Spanish! πŸ˜€

    Regarding the Facebook Messenger text,
    Since we are using a Facebook Messenger SDK, it won’t be possible to change the text and you won’t have to!

    The Facebook Messenger SDK that we are using is only in English.
    But it is possible to use different languages by simply using a different language code in the SDK.

    We’ll make an option to change the language of the Facebook Messenger when setting up the button.

    Let me know if you want to change the language!
    I’ll give you instructions for a temporary way to change the language.
