The thumbnail is supposed to update automatically once you assign an image AND that page has been requested by a user (i.e. executes our javascript). However, that may not be happening at this point. There is a request on our side to look into the issue. I don’t expect this to be finished in the next 1-2 days.

The default behavior for deciding what image to use is:

1) Look for featured image.
2) If featured image does not exist, look for image in the Open Graph tags
3) If Open Graph image does not exist, use the largest image within the body of the page

For the pages in question, we used 3), i.e. the ad images are the largest images within the body of the page.

For example, this image…:

…is found on line 304 of the page source. The body tags start on line 93 and end on line 343.

Thank you for fixing the featured images. Your images should be updated within a few hours. Also, your feedback helped us find a potential issue. We will be looking into why your images did not update in our system once you selected a featured image on your side.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug. We are currently working on a solution to the images problem. You will not need to make any changes after images are in place.
