Hi,
We haven’t seen reports of it not working. Though, do you see an issue with it on your end? The best way to find out if it’ll work in your setup is to try it. If you encounter issues with it, we’ll take a look.
In WPtouch Pro, you can have WPtouch Pro attempt to disable unwanted/problematic plugins in Core Settings > Compatibility > WordPress Plugins.

WPtouch Support
Great to know you got that sorted out. Thank you for letting us know. You’re welcome.

Erik,
Thank you for the info. You may want to contact your web host and ask if there is any type of caching system on the server. If there is, it’ll need to be configured to ignore the WPtouch user agents.
Note that once WPtouch is active, it should display for visitors on supported mobile devices. So it may be something server-side.

WPtouch Support
Hi,
If the website in question is running any cache plugin/system, please make sure it is configured per the instructions here – https://support.wptouch.com/support/solutions/articles/5000537668-optimizing-caching-plugins-for-mobile-use
If it is not, please share the URL of the website in question and we’ll take a look at it.

WPtouch Support
Sapphire, I appreciate your frustration but please take a look at it from our point of view. The issue doesn’t occur for 99.9% of our clients, we can’t replicate it, and it exists for you regardless of which mobile solution you use.
WPtouch and WPtouch Pro are identical code base, the difference is that WPtouch Pro comes with additional theme, extensions, and tools, as well as priority service and support to our free, community supported WPtouch plugin. c.
Sapphire, perhaps I misunderstood your reply earlier, could you please clarify? WPtouch detects devices during the page load, but if the page is previously cached by a plugin, or a web server, WPtouch won’t run during the page load unless your server/plugin has been setup to allow WPtouch to run, following these directions: https://support.wptouch.com/support/solutions/articles/5000537668-configuring-cache-plugins-for-wptouch
As for caching etc, if you’re concerned about server loads, we’ve created an extension called Infinity Cache, designed to speed up mobile page loads, and comes with a year of priority support directly from plugin authors. Thanks, c.
Hi Sebastian, most caching plugins allow you to exclude user agents, and WPtouch has a feature to attempt to disable specific plugins during loading. Thanks, c.

HI Sebastian, I’m not personally familiar with Autoptimize but as with any tool that optimizes your site by combining JavaScript and CSS files, I would suggest turning it off for mobile browsers unless it’s been optimized to work with your mobile theme. Thanks, c.
Hi Sapphire, thanks for the update regarding your compatibility issues between WPtouch and WP Super Cache being related to your host. With almost eight million downloads, we’re always sure to run into some corner cases such as this, and our best advice is to work with partners who understand the business you’re trying to build, and work to support you rather than limit you. Best of luck, c.

In reply to: [WPtouch - Make your WordPress Website Mobile-Friendly] Blach ScreenHi Vumax, the first step in debugging your site would be to activate the theme default WordPress theme to see if the error also occurs with using Twenty Fifteen and WPtouch. After that, you’d need to test various combinations of your active plugins until you’ve determined which, if any, are causing the plugin not to load on your site. Be sure to have debug mode turned on in your wp-config.php file to review any error reports and please let me know the results, c.

Glad to hear it’s worked out for you, thanks for letting us know. Don’t forget to leave a review of the WPtouch plugin to help others know that you’ve enjoyed it! c.
Hi, could you verify that you’ve placed your analytics code in your WPtouch settings? Following this tutorial? It’s possible that your traffic hasn’t dropped, just that the reporting tool isn’t activated on mobile. Thanks, c.

Additionally, in our simulator testing (and we can only use the Simulator in North America, as devices with Firefox OS aren’t sold here) WPtouch works as it should— with OS versions 2.2 or higher able to make use of the more advanced functionality in WPtouch themes.
We did our testing on demo.wptouch.com themes, where we house properly configured demo versions of all our mobile themes.
Feel free to try out our demo themes on your device to see if the problems are only present on your website, and not in fact with WPtouch themes.

In reply to: WPtouch Mobile 3.8.6 "Hides" scheduled and draft posts from All Posts tabThanks for reporting this. It appears there was a particular combination of WPtouch settings that would cause this to happen.
The bug was fixed in the 3.8.7 release.
