That’s very similar to what I want.
After some searching, it seems that I’m after something similar to an ‘About the Author’ but for categories.
Any idea if these exist? I’m going grey sitting here! ha.

That seems pretty simple and straight forward to do.
However, I think setting up a child category for each parent category might be easier? Then, populate a post with the appropriate content then pull in the child post beneath the parent?
Any thoughts on that?
yep – the permissions for the .htaccess are 666.
okay, I’ve tried this but I’m still at a loose end.
The default permalink setting works, but my custom structure of: /%category%/%postname%/
returns the error.
