I completed the reCaptcha and it gives me the green check mark recognizing I am not a robot.
Your screenshot and comments don’t make sense… Anyway, make sure your UM and reCatpcha addon are updated to the latest versions.

Only when you click on a member-only post, you get the login screen.
That’s what is supposed to happen if you are logged out.
This proves that search is impacted by teh UM settings,
No, that doesn’t prove that as it has nothing to do with UM.
Now the standard WP search gives results instead of the login page !….Please advice how this can be solved.
Admin panel => Ultimate Member => Forms. Click edit.
On both the registration and login forms you should find the reCaptcha widget on the side of the page to turn it off.Should work/

I can think on a number of reasons why you can’t search anymore. However, this is not a UM plugin issue…
Thanks Jan for fixing the page so quick! Now one can read it. Btw, I fixed typo with the first tag in ‘tags’.
Nope and it would require more than just filter action…

Please do a conflict test. This is probably a theme or plugin conflict. Switch to the default WP theme and see if it works then. If so we will know it is a theme conflict. If the issue still exists then it will most likely be a plugin conflict. If that is the case then you will need to deactivate all other plugins and check if this solves the issue. If it does, it’s a plugin conflict indeed and you will need to activate each plugin one by one checking each time your UM pages until you can find the conflicting plugin.
Good luck.
I don’t think you understand my question, how do you know is not saved in your MySQL database? Did you search for it? You are not gonna find it in wp_users, but maybe in wp_usermeta where it usually goes. So, those kinda values are never stored there.
In any case, you have to explain what your are trying to accomplish for anyone to help.
That would only happen if the fields are user required or non-editable (by users).
I had thought content restriction was a feature.
What you want is not on UM.

I already added a custom field with the same name and the same options with an external plugin (Advanced Custom Fields).
Customization questions about other WordPress plugins are, for the most part, never discussed on this free UM support board. Please hire a developer to help you with your customization needs.
That wouldn’t work. Either you allow visitors to view content whole or in part, or you don’t allow them viewing at all. There are better plugin support boards for this. UM is not a content restriction plugin, so your posts are considered largely off topic.
Thank you/
Please elaborate further.
