Are you saying you that you want to purchase the “website.com” version of the name, and the client will purchase the “website.ca” and just use that domain for the Blog portion of the site?
So, people would go to http://www.Website.com and see the WordPress installation but when they click on the link “www.Website.com/blog” they then go to the blog posts which are located at “www.Website.ca/postname/”
Just trying to help you ask the question better so as to get an answer.

In reply to: Content on Add New PostNot seeing there is a specific hook to allow for that sort of custom text place into the edit.php pages. And you probably don’t want to hack the core code. Maybe creating a custom post type and going the route of creating a completely custom edit page for that?
Interested to see how this one turns out for you.
Just out of curiosity, what is it you are planning to insert–the text–on these pages?

Are you asking to how to add “Pages” to your WordPress site? I.e., clicking on the “Pages” link in the left menu in the admin section, adding your content and clicking on the “Publish” button.
OR
Are you asking if it is possible to have different visual themes displayed on your various different pages of your one WordPress installation?

Did you attempt to send out those emails on the long delayed sites after deactivating those other plugins you mentioned? This will help you confirm that the conflict is indeed between CF7 and WP, not between CF7 and one of the other plugins.

Not to sound condescending, but are you completely sure that you are pasting text from “notepad” and not “Wordpad” or Microsoft Word? I’ve not been able to find anyone else that has reported a similar situation when going just from Notepad to the WordPress edit area.
Also, you mentioned deactivating your plugins. What theme are you using? Did you try going with the default Twenty Eleven theme? If so, did you still get the same results?

Given that you indicated you were using JavaScript to “pad” the thumbnails is it safe to assume that you’re not referring to the same sort of padding that comes with the CSS “Padding” selector?

In reply to: HELP putting my blog posts on external siteNot 100% sure if this solution fits your needs as I’m unable to completely determine your intent with your question. Hope this is what you are looking for:
- Log in to your WordPress admin area
- Go to the Settings >> Reading page
- Find the section “Blog pages show at most“
- Choose the number of posts you want to display on your home page
- A little further down that page find “For each article in a feed, show“
- Choose the radio button next to “Full text“
Hopefully that is what you were looking for.

Depends upon exactly where this “change” is to occur. If you are simply talking about securing the “.com” version of your domain name, just go to your favorite registrar and look up whether that .com version is available. If so, bingo! If not, bummer 🙁
My guess, however, what you really want to know is how to change your “.ca” WordPress installation to a “.com” installation???
If that is the case, just give out this Codex page, “Changing the Site URL“. I will have the answers already there in great detail.

I’m going to have to whip out a NotePad & check out Jan’s solution. As I look at it on my smart phone, I’m not asserting the difference to mine if the paragraph tags were removed. Password Protect WordPress might do just what you are asking. Note that the specific functionality seems to only be unlocked after you make a donation to the plugin author (for any amount, apparently).

In reply to: Can't Change Blog POST URLGo to that post/page in the WordPress Admin area.
Right under the title box you should see the Permalink for the post/page.
Click on the “Edit” button just to the right of the link.
Change it from ‘welcome-to-my-website’ to ‘welcome’
(no quote marks are required.)Click “Ok”
Then click the “Update” button.
You should be good to go!
