Thanks for your reply, Marc.
My webhost reported the 18GB cache filled up the free space on the server where my site resides and crashed it.
I have disabled pre-loading, per your recommendation. I will point out that the cache size had already re-grown — in a single day — to more than 3GB.
My site has about 200 posts and a few thousand optimized images. The database is about 23 MB in size.

In reply to: [WP-PageNavi] Code displaying on pageLester: Thanks for your quick reply.
I haven’t updated this theme for two years, in order to avoid such conflicts.
I did just roll back Page-Navi to 2.90, and it eliminated the problem.
What has changed with the latest version of Page-Navi?
Thanks.

In reply to: [WP Responsive Menu] Update 3.0.1 creates inability to select text on pageMenu is working now. Clearing the cache may have done the trick.
Thanks very much for the update! I appreciate your quick attention to the matter.

In reply to: [WP Responsive Menu] Update 3.0.1 creates inability to select text on pageI’ve updated to 3.0.2.
The responsive menu no longer opens when I tap the mobile menu icon. The icon just turns into an “X”.
Swipe doesn’t work, either.

In reply to: [WP Responsive Menu] Update 3.0.1 creates inability to select text on pageI’m glad to see others have found this problem and a fix is coming.
However, do the developers realize how many hours of detective work and site testing were consumed by individual users who a) detected the issue b) isolated it to WPR?
We can’t afford to waste our time this way.
In future, WPR, please do not release code that is not ready for prime time!
Very good, Steve!
Thanks for your attention to this issue.
July 12 updated version is actually shown as 2.4.14, however.

In reply to: [Sparkling] Sparkling post navigation wrecked by WP 4.7 updateI’ve confirmed this issue first existed with the current release, Sparkling 2.3.2.
For now, I’ve rolled back to 2.2.2. Previous/next post navigation works properly in 2.2.2.
Developers, please fix this bug!

In reply to: Previous/next post navigation errorWell, now I face a conundrum.
The developer refuses to acknowledge the issue, although it’s clearly related to the Colorlib Sparkling theme. When I change to any of the default WordPress themes, page navigation works correctly.
Any idea where I might look in the theme templates to try to track down the navigation issue myself?
Thanks.

In reply to: [Sparkling] Sparkling post navigation wrecked by WP 4.7 updateI’ve reported this issue on Github: https://github.com/puikinsh/Sparkling/issues
If you’re using the Sparkling theme and experiencing previous/next page post pagination issues, please add your comments!

In reply to: Previous/next post navigation errorI’ve alerted the theme developer.

In reply to: Previous/next post navigation errorIf that does not resolve the issue, keep all plugins deactivated and try switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Seventeen) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
The WordPress update did not install the 2017 theme. That’s another issue entirely.
However, I did try 2016 and 2015 and sure enough, post navigation works fine.
Thanks for your reply!
Any way to reply privately?

Why no fix, Jetpack?

In reply to: [WP Popular Posts] Applying transition effects to thumbailsHector, I can see this creates an effect where the title floats into place from the top of the image, but otherwise doesn’t affect the image.
I’ll work with it a bit and see what I can come up with.
