    Well, you are right, Sir!

I started going through the HTML in the WordPress editor, and saw all the <span> comments, etc., and went through and deleted them, then moved to paragraphs that had moved on their own yesterday, etc.

I then re-validated the page and got only ONE error, but it is about the WordPress ‘Search My Blog’ artifact, so i am not worried about it.

Next, I validated the first page of my ‘Charlie Manson and Me’ story, http://www.nathansonweb.com/blog/?cat=11, and got 63 errors.

I guess I’ll have to go through each page and validate them and try making corrections to them as I did the main page.

So I thank you again for your help on this.

Now, any insight into why the font is changing?

Case-in-point are the paragraphs on the main page starting, “What prompted me…” and the next one, “Now, for the past…”.
This occurs several times on different pages of the blog. Could it be the result of my having changed themes a couple of years ago?

    Thanks again.

    Hi Samuel,

First, thanks for the SPEEDY reply! WOW!

Now, looking at ALL those errors, it is a daunting task that I will fix asap.

Apparently, these errors occur when making changes, etc. because I have not tweaked the HTML since last year sometime, just tried making changes in the wysiwyg (visual) format. I guess I’ll just have to do that for each page. *sigh*

It always looks so easy on TV or in the movies when they write to their blog or hack into the government or banking servers! LOL

Thank you again! …and I’ll post results when available.

    Bob

    Thank you esmi!

Yesterday I upgraded to 2.8.1 and couldn’t access one of my posts to edit, getting that Error 500 message.

I just shut off most of the plugins, leaving ‘Gravatars2’ and ‘WordPress Database Backup’ still activated. I then tried editing the ‘problem’ page, and it works just fine!

    THANKS!
