Thanks for your question! The email template settings are in the plugin under Directory > Settings > Email > Templates. The email confirmation message is the one you want for the email, I believe.
We have hooks that you can use to change the messaging on the thank you page. You can learn more about that in our Knowledge Base here: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/knowledge-base/template-hooks/
I hope that helps!
Hi @icarusc
Thank you for the question! Some themes will have settings for these pages, but others don’t. In those instances, you can override templates in the plugin for layout-based changes. This is something that requires advanced developer skills to pull off, but if you are interested in trying, the documentation for that is here: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/knowledge-base/general-customization-guide/
Hi @zimbo000
Thank you for posting your feedback here on the new Advanced Search modal that’s included in Business Directory Plugin. Your feedback on this has been documented and we will work on improving the new Advanced Search button in our upcoming releases.
For now, there is not a setting to revert back to the old style, unfortunately. The image could be replaced if you wanted to override the template.
I was able to see the “Advanced Search” wording on your site when I hovered over the icon, but I do understand that with your theme, it could be more clear what is does, what it’s for, and more visible. We appreciate your patience as we work on improving things for the future!
Hi @auntypizza
Thanks for getting in touch with your question. Are you asking if your users can use HTML to format the message to the listing owner? Or are you wanting to customize something about the contact form? We don’t currently have any settings that allow for an editor on the contact form and HTML is not currently supported in those messages.
Hi @vernaire
Thanks for getting in touch! We appreciate your message, and we’re here to assist. We can’t support paid products on the wordpress.org forum, so could you please open a ticket with us directly?

In reply to: [AWP Classifieds] Uploading video directlyHi @aljosa2111
Right now, AWP Classifieds only allows you to embed videos and not upload them directly. I’m sorry if that doesn’t work for your situation. If it does work, please have a look at our documentation here: https://awpcp.com/knowledge-base/embed-videos-listings-awpcp/
Hi @mrjeany
Thank you for writing in with your question! We don’t have that ordering parameter for listings, unfortunately. Currently, the only way to control the listing sort order is in the settings under Directory > Settings > Listings > Sorting. That will apply the sort order to all listings on your site.

In reply to: [AWP Classifieds] Problems with PHP 8.2?Hi @tf28
Thanks for reporting these things.
Those are not errors on the site, but code to let you know that a change was made to the code in the plugin. Deprecated code (sometimes called “dead code”) is the equivalent of a sticky note saying “this will be removed in the future” on targeted parts of code. The code can’t be removed immediately because consumers of that method or class still need that section to function.
I hope that helps explain why you’re seeing this. If you haven’t customized the code of the plugin, you can safely ignore those! But if you’re seeing a problem with functionality, please do let us know.
Hi @onlymi
Thanks for your question. Business Directory Plugin uses the subscriber role by default, so I wouldn’t recommend changing that. If you are changing other roles, perhaps you can assign something else to your other users. There is no setting to change what WordPress role is used for the directory, unfortunately.
Hi @nikkers
Thanks for reaching out about this. I’m sorry to hear that you ran into issues with the permalinks.
These are working on my test site using Post Name. One thing that might help quickly would be to reset your Permalinks. In WordPress, go to Settings > Permalinks, then press save changes (don’t make any changes) and see if that helps.
If that doesn’t work, can you please try a conflict test to rule that out?
Please let me know how it goes.

In reply to: [AWP Classifieds] Different Layout Per Category?Hi @martinkoss
Thanks for your question! I’m sorry to say that we don’t have the ability to do something like this in the AWP Classifieds plugin, unfortunately. We do have category-specific fields in Business Directory Plugin, but I’m not sure if that would work for your specific use case.
Hi @claudiaiw
Thank you for being so patient on this while I was checking with the developer. We don’t have a snippet you can use for this, but I’ve submitted a feature request to address this in an upcoming release. Thanks so much for bringing the issue to our attention!
Hi @claudiaiw
Thank you for getting in touch with your question.
The email field is required by default, but if you have turned that setting off, we currently don’t have a way to override this for the contact form. I’ll make the suggestion to the developer, though.
The reason we suggest that an email address be required is because notices need to be sent to listing owners about the listing itself, such as when it will expire or renew.
I’m sorry I couldn’t give you a workaround for this. Please let me know if you have further questions.

In reply to: [AWP Classifieds] Search CodeHi @dcodestuff
Glad that helped. For the images, we don’t have a way to crop images when they are being uploaded. However, you might consider allowing images of larger sizes/dimensions in your image settings. Those are under Classified Ads > Settings > Media > Dimensions.
Thanks for reaching out to us. It looks like you are using a different plugin for your directory pages. I’m sorry that I can’t help you with this.
