THanks!! That all helped, and I solved it. It was indeed a conflict with another active login page, but i sorted things out by adding a few exceptions to the theme functions.php.

Ah never mind i had to deactivate and activate the plugin now i can work on prior published page.
Ah, thank you. I found the culprit. My theme was pointing to another login screen. I removed that now it sees the login designer page.
But now I want to change the page i published before. But all i see are the templates. Do i have to start from scratch each time ?

I have the same problem it seems. After publishing the login designer page I dont know what to do to make it the login page for my site.
How do you set the core login page as home page as you suggest ?
