I’ve mostly used visual editors built into themes — Divi, Avada, and long ago, Headway. Headway was my first experience with such an editor and it wasn’t intuitive at all, but having learned to use (poorly) made learning the tools in Divi and Avada much easier. Of them, Avada is easier to use, but Divi has more features.

Then just this week, I had an opportunity to learn WPBakery Page Editor. It took me about 3 minutes to get the hang of it and then I was off and running. It’s not as pretty to look at as the tools in Divi, but it has more options.

In my case, the WPBakery Page Editor came bundled with the theme I’m using, but it is also available as a stand alone plugin. I’m not sure why you good folks at WordPress decided to reinvent the wheel when this plugin already exists and is already integrated with many of the most popular themes.
