I’ve just added 1.15.0 which has the beginnings of language support. It also fixes the admin warning messages you were seeing.

I know there are 3 messages in a javascript file that may still show when a file is being uploaded.

I did test it, but please let me know if I missed anything.

Thanks Marion! I noticed that too for the first time last night as I was working on the localization/translation. It will be fixed soon in 1.15.0.

This is something I have been considering and somebody else recently asked me for it too. I’ll bump it to one of the next areas I focus on. Would you want all the back-end admin text set up for translation, or just the front-facing user display?

Fantastic! Thanks for letting me know.

Thanks for raising up that problem. I’ve just implemented a fix (1.14.0) which resolves this issue. Please let me know how it goes.

Thanks for the feedback and idea. I’ve just added this functionality with v1.13.0 which is now available. There’s a place in the settings to allow or exclude specific file extensions.

    Thanks,

I appreciate your perseverance. One other question – did you happen to change your WP theme at any point? I’m following a line of thought that could possibly tie it to the theme as I override the page template when a file is selected for download.

Thanks for the additional information and with v1.12.0 (just uploaded to WP) I’ve improved the logic to not generate those errors. I can’t see how that was the cause of the main problem but I’m actually hopeful it was. Can you please give it a try and let me know?

    Hi David,

Thank you for your feedback. Sorry to hear you’re having problems. I’ve just retested the plugin on my development site which is using 4.5.1 and unfortunately cannot recreate the problem you’re seeing. I’m happy to help dig further though to hopefully resolve.

A couple of questions if you don’t mind:

Do you have any sort of security plugins installed?
    Which theme are you using?

Another line of thought I have is that maybe another plugin was updated and mine and the other one are now incompatible.

    Thanks,
    Chris

Ahh, that helps. I’ve never tried that before and I get the same results as you do now. The original intent is to just put the [bex_folder] shortcode on a post or a page; would you be able to do that instead?

I’ll continue to research what you’re trying to do, but it may take me a day or two.

    Thanks,
    Chris

That’s strange. I tried it on my local version again (with download files checked), and it all works fine.

I suspect it may be an incompatibility with another plugin or possibly your theme. One other thought is: do you have a pop-up blocker installed?

Sorry I can’t be of much help at this point.

Hi – it doesn’t currently support that, but I’ve noted the functionality for a future release.

I’ve seen a premium plugin that supports multiple uploads. Do a Google search for “Out-of-the-box plugin”. It costs $29.

    Thanks,

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately no – this plugin wasn’t designed to do that, and I probably won’t add that feature to this plugin. I may write a separate plugin to do that, but I have other priorities at the moment.

I did a quick search and did find this one. That may do what you’re looking for and there are possibly other ones available too.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks again for your feedback. You’re right in that suppressing the built-in CSS would remove all fonts/colours and formatting – the idea being you’re free to build your own.

That said, realising that could be a lot of work, I’ve just added another option to use another built-in stylesheet that retains the formatting, but removes the fonts and colours, so the plugin should just inherit your theme’s settings. This is the “Minimal CSS” option. Hope that makes sense.

Could you give it a try when you have chance and let me know?

    Thanks,
    Chris

I’ve just released a new version of the plugin (v1.11.0) that allows the built-in stylesheet to be suppressed so you can provide your own styling in your theme’s stylesheet.

I still plan to work on this some more though.

    Thanks,
    Chris
