In reply to: [Blighty Explorer] Error 403 – You don’t belong here!@jimgasperini – regarding your access control observation, this is by design. As long as the folder you’re applying the All/Anonymous access to states (All/Anonymous) next to the folder name after you’ve clicked Save Changes, then that’s correct. (I hope that makes sense.)

In reply to: [Blighty Explorer] Error 403 – You don’t belong here! Thanks for your input on this. I started to get reports of this in the past 24 hours; it was working fine and then suddenly 403 errors. I see on the Dropbox community forum, that others have reported a similar problem with the Dropbox API, and Dropbox is aware of the issue, so it appears to be more of a Dropbox issue than plugin specific.
I’ve tried to recreate the error on my development server and it works fine for me. Thanks Paula for the workaround for now.

In reply to: [Blighty Explorer] after authentication nothing is visibleHi David – the solution that helped Bhuvnesh was as follows:
(Only try this if you’re comfortable making changes to the database. You might also want to take a database backup of the WordPress database before you start too.)
In the wp_options table, try locating and deleting the row that has an option_name of “bex_dropbox_token” (and “bex_dropbox_temp_token” if that exists as well). This is the Dropbox authentication token and it may be corrupted somehow, especially if you’ve tried switching Dropbox accounts.
Cheers,

In reply to: [Blighty Explorer] after authentication nothing is visibleI notice you’re using version 1.15.1 – the latest version is 1.15.2. I doubt that will fix it, but it’s worth getting the latest version.
Also, are you using a personal Dropbox account or a Business account?

In reply to: [Blighty Explorer] after authentication nothing is visibleHi Bhuvnesh,
Thanks for your feedback. I’ve not run across this exact problem before but it sounds like there was some sort of issue authenticating the plugin with Dropbox.
Try the following to reset the plugin so you can try authenticating again:
Go to the settings page for Blighty Explorer.
Go the browser address bar and add &bex_reset=1 to the end of the URL
You will end up with something like:
http://********/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=blighty-explorer-plugin&bex_reset=1Press Enter.
That should reset the plugin allowing you to then authenticate with Dropbox again. Be sure to allow the app authorisation with Dropbox when prompted.
Let me know how that goes.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Blighty Explorer] Blighty Explorer – can no longer create foldersHi – thanks for your feedback and question.
The plugin is still working well on my development installation.
I can think of two possibilities that may be causing what you’re seeing:
1. The plugin has a caching mechanism which maintains the folder structure from Dropbox for 60 seconds. If you displayed the page, added a subfolder and then refreshed the page within 60 seconds, you wouldn’t see the new subfolder. Do you see it now?
2. Your Dropbox client may not be running, has been paused, or may have frozen. Is Dropbox syncing to the web, i.e. can you see your subfolder on Dropbox’s website?
Let me know what you find. I’m happy to research further if this doesn’t help.
Thanks!
Chris

In reply to: [Blighty Explorer] Fatal error when linking Dropbox, invalid access tokenThanks for the follow up Glyn. I’m happy you got it working. Honestly, I never tested switching dropbox accounts as I only have one.
Normally, you’d just click on the “Reset Dropbox connection” link in the admin (which in essence just does the bex_reset trick above), and then authorise connection to the new one Dropbox account.
Let me know if you have any further questions or other ideas for the plugin.

In reply to: [Blighty Explorer] Fatal error when linking Dropbox, invalid access tokenThanks for your question. I’m not fully sure I track with how you tried to change the link to your client’s dropbox, but this may work:
Go to the settings page for Blighty Explorer (you’ll may get the error message you’ve mentioned).
Go the browser address bar and add &bex_reset=1 to the end of the URL
You will end up with something like:
http://********/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=blighty-explorer-plugin&bex_reset=1Press Enter.
That should reset the plugin allowing you to then authenticate with Dropbox again using your client’s Dropbox account details to allow the app authorisation.
Let me know how it goes.

In reply to: [Blighty Explorer] language?I may take you up on that in the future. For now, I’ve collated your translations and published an update to the plugin containing them.
Thanks 🙂

In reply to: [Blighty Explorer] language?Hi Marion
If you can provide the Dutch translations here – I can then incorporate them into the plugin.
As long as your WordPress installation is set to Dutch (nl) the plugin will then translate the front-end text accordingly.
Dank je!
Chris

In reply to: [Blighty Explorer] Dropbox not authorizedI’ve just made an update to the plugin (v1.15.1) that resolved a PHP warning message. If you’re still able, could you try this again to see if it resolved the issue you reported here? Thanks.

In reply to: [Blighty Explorer] language?I’ve noticed a few issues with the WordPress Plugins repository this morning (it seems to be delayed). Can you please delete the plugin and then add it new again?

In reply to: [Blighty Explorer] language?Looks like I didn’t quite do the localisation correctly. I’ll need to push an update. It’s my first time with this. I’ll update this later when I have it working.
