In reply to: [Ultimate Addons for Elementor] PHP Warning: Attempt to read propertyThat dates back to last October, which almost certainly predates this problem (unless time is flying faster than I thought), so it’s a definite possibility that it only cropped up with more recent versions. That’s the best lead right now, since I haven’t the slightest idea otherwise how to go about replicating the problem.
Glad to have maybe played a small role in encouraging this to be fixed after all this time, which it seems to have been as of 7.10.0.
BTW. per another thread, in case anyone is wondering, logs should go here, which I only learned today via another thread: wftest @ wordfence . com
OK, I did that over on the form.

In reply to: [Ultimate Addons for Elementor] PHP Warning: Attempt to read property@bsfherman, That’s unknown. Are you saying that you’ve looked at that log on an actively-used system with those two plugins installed and don’t see it? If so, what version of PHP?

In reply to: [Ultimate Addons for Elementor] PHP Warning: Attempt to read propertyI’m not sure I can get away with doing that at this point. v8.1.x is not even the latest generation, so it should be fine, right (released late 2021)? I could maybe understand if on v8.2.x, which has only been out since late 2022. We like to lag one major version for exactly this reason: to give plugins ample time. Of course, we do stay current on the minor version updates for security purposes.
That’s a good question, bjf2000. Inquiring minds.
Tried opening another thread here, but you can see how that went (I’m noticing a pattern here):
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/not-resolved-obviously-database-error-commands-out-of-sync
Since other have obtained and provided the logs before, and we’re still talking about this, I doubt that would help but I was willing to try.

In reply to: [Astra] PHP Warning: Attempt to read propertyOh, I see that you’re asking to see what happens when all plugins but the Elementors are disabled. I probably can’t get away with doing that on the live site.
If we’re thinking that this was a problem with Elementor and Astra, as opposed to some other problem affecting both, wouldn’t there be something in the Astra release notes in recent months to indicate that (given that the Astra errors no longer show up)? I do see a few mentions of PHP, but nothing like this.

In reply to: [Astra] PHP Warning: Attempt to read propertyWhen you say “only active plugin” I’m not sure what you mean. There are numerous active plugins, but perhaps you’re referring to things Elementor, meaning that Elementor Header & Footer is the only thing active from the Elementor family. But that’s not true, since Elementor itself is active; I wasn’t even aware that you could use the Header & Footer one without it.
Logs? Yea or nay? And if so, where should they be sent?

In reply to: [Astra] PHP Warning: Attempt to read propertyThanks for checking back. Everything involved is current (WP, PHP 8.1, Elemantor, Astra), but they’re still occurring, with one difference:
Mentions of these seem to have stopped (it was always flurries of both before):
astra-addon/classes/modules/target-rule/class-astra-target-rules-fields.phpBut these continue:
header-footer-elementor/inc/lib/target-rule/class-astra-target-rules-fields.phpI’m not sure why that is, since they occurred at the same times before. It’s not as if they should have had two different causes.
While I do occasionally see some associated with other tables, they’re dwarfed by the ones associated with Wordfence, and the others are much less verbose than the Wordfence ones for whatever reason. Perhaps the frequency is reflective of Wordfence being much more active in WordPress and therefore susceptible to the condition. or at least wfblocks7 is. So, I’m not entirely convinced by the “other plugins suffer from the same errors” reasoning if the scale between the two is completely different.
What is wfblocks7 used for, exactly? It must be what everyone mentions for a reason.
What about the earlier idea that it’s related to Litespeed caching, or at least doesn’t happen when there is no caching? Our host uses Litespeed (uncached, AFAIK), so we have no choice in the matter about Litespeed itself, but they always have and we didn’t have this problem in the initial years of using Wordfence. We didn’t always use Super Page Cache for Cloudflare though, as we have since around when this problem began. The other post mentioned only seeing the problem when they enabled Litespeed caching (via whatever means they used to do that). So, the common denominator might be caching, but that didn’t come up in your response. We can’t plausibly disable caching for any length of time, and that’s not really a solution anyway, but it seems like a big clue if you’re seeing prevalent use of caching among those who’ve reported the issue.
It really doesn’t seem to be associated with db uptime per se since phpMyAdmin says: “This MySQL server has been running for 8 days, 22 hours, 13 minutes and 47 seconds. It started up on May 18, 2023 at 02:03 AM.” The problem has certainly showed many times within that period, but I don’t think an uptime figure is necessarily indicative of connectivity with the database, which is what you were talking about. That might be something only reflected in the types of logs you mentioned, which I’ll ask the host about to see if they’ll send them to me.
Thanks
Been waiting over a year now to see this resolved (it began sometime in the last 1 to 1.5 years). Yes, we’ve sent in the diagnostic report multiple times. Never heard anything back.
No, I don’t really want to wipe WF and start over. This doesn’t rise to that level. But I would like to correct it less drastically.

In reply to: WordPress v6.2.1 Breaks the Shortcode Block in Templates@gyurmey I thought that was a jape on your part, but it’s not:

Have they ever just pushed out a spontaneous new release like this?
Wouldn’t it be nice if someone came along to this thread to alert people that the update specifically pertaining to the thread was now available? I thought so, which is why I did it. No question, but thanks for the plugin.
