  • I don’t know anything about code or much else for that matter, but this is what worked to solve the login problwm for me. Maybe you guys can figure out how it worked.
I used automatic upgrade to upgrade to 2.6. When it was all finished it took me to the admin login page, and I could not log in. Cleared the cookies, restarted, several times, that did not work. I may not know much, but I do know how to clear cookies. Anyway, I opened my public home page and tried to log in – no deal. But, I noticed the admin log-out button was visible, meaning I was still logged in from before the upgrade even though I could not get back to the admin pages. I clicked that button to log out, and then was able to log back in.

Just solved this on mine – clearing cookies, restarting didn’t work for me either. But I noticed the admin log out was visible on my home page, clicked that and problem was solved.

I was having the same problem, clearing cookies did not work for me either. After the auto-upgrade finished, the log in page appeared and you know the deal, kept redirecting back to log in. By accident, I noticed that the “admin log out” button was visible on my home page. Clicking that solved the problem, I was able to log in again.
