I have signed up with Compila.com they have been very helpful and I cant see any obvious problems from users in the search engines. I have also seen it recommended by others on here.

In reply to: Yahoo hostingI think I have messed about with it too much today. They are a large hoster and I am sure not every customer is going to have problems.
I think I will let it propagate, get my blog transferred and see how it goes for a month. Its only $8 a month so I will not have lost much. If I have problems then I can easily switch.

Its not the same as the wordpress stats, but its free, you can have it invisible and the different types of stats they show you is amazing for a free service. They give you every conceivable figure you would ever need from a visitor and they also provide charts in map format so you can see your visitors across the globe. I already use them on my blog alongside the wordpress one.
If you use it on a wordpress hosted blog you need to opt for the html counter and place it in a text widget. On your own hosted one you can use the normal javascript one or the html one.Forum: Installing WordPress

If I do host my blog elsewhere, do I still have access to the normal wordpress dashboard and the features like tag surfer and comments list?
