In reply to: 15 second flood brokenOkay now this is resolved, thankyou very much Handysolo. Your help did actually lead me the right way.
Just out of curiosity, do you know what could lead to comments being posted in the future?
I think possibly its to do with the theme originally displaying a day ahead and then correcting itself. Why it would do that I do not know.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: 15 second flood brokenAhhhh that is it.
For some reason, my last comment on that page (and the one previous) were in the future. I deleted the comment and now I can comment.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: 15 second flood brokenThat has not worked π
I was looking at that other page, the one I linked in first post about a bug in function-post.php
I don’t have that code in the php file but I do have it in I think its comments-post.php however the tags are correct. So really I am back at square one. I have tried all the fixes I can find.If you look at the comments here..
http://www.spritesandbites.net/2006/11/02/please-welcome-corey/They are out of synch and the last two comments are posting in the future.

In reply to: 15 second flood brokenHI Handysolo,
the current time is set to
UTC time is: 2006-11-03 9:51:36 pmwhich is correct.
“Time should differ by” is blank as I think it has always been as UTC is the same as GMT.
I tried putting in -1 for daylight savings but it made no difference.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: 15 second flood brokenOkay just some more information, some date stamps on comments are also wrong. I have no idea what is causing this.
I have just upgraded the wordpress to 2.0.5 in case it helped, but it has not fixed the problem.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: 15 second flood brokenI have some more information that may help.
Now when I installed a theme today I noticed that it had the date at the
top. The is the first time I have seen the date posted at the top of the
theme. However the date was for tomorrow (4th). When I posted a post the
date changed to the 3rd.
So maybe there is a problem with the time on the blog which might account
for why it thinks I just posted a comment?Anyway I tried other themes but they all have the same problem. So maybe timestamp on my blog is wrong or soemthing?

In reply to: 2 problems – validation error and font size issueHave just returned to post the fix for this font problem on this blog.txt theme.
Putting the font in the CSS style sheet does NOT work. The theme has a small options panel where font and sizes can be set. These settings override anything in the CSS for some reason.
So if anyone has the same problem, check the dashboard theme options. Thanks for your help.

In reply to: 2 problems – validation error and font size issueSorry I didn’t mean to be funny about the urchintracker thing, it just surpised me it was there, it sounded suspicious like something had gone wrong with my code. Anyway its google analytics – thats something else I have to dump as its causing load problems on occasions.
I am going to try and deal with this stylesheet code – what you have pasted from my stylesheet is not the same I am seeing. I am getting all goggly eyed. π
Thanks for your help, most appreciated.

In reply to: 2 problems – validation error and font size issueoh hang on that bottom code, are they individual elements I need to change and not a block copy?
Sorry if I seem dense, very new to this and am trying to get to grips with it πForum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: 2 problems – validation error and font size issueThankyou for the reply. I could not see where to change the close tag, so I deleted the post, it looked rubbish anyway π
That code you typed above, what is that urchintracker thing? I don’t see thast in the code of the post?
The stylesheet problem I don’t understand, sorry. I put it in my stylesheet at the top, near the bottom and in the sidebar section of style.css and none of the places are making the change.
