It is okay. I found it. it is locale.php in the wp-includes folder. Thanks anyway. 😮

If it helps. I had exactly the problem described in this thread ……..blank screen when login selected and the dashboard not displaying.

The cause was one particular plugin not being compatible with WordPress 2.0 and the cure was to FTP my website and navigate to the particualr plugin and change the PHP suffix to PHPS (or delete the plugin).

    This deactivates the plugin automatically.

I was then able to logon from the Blog okay.

Once fixed I just needed to double check compatabiltiy of my plugin-in-use for use with 2.0 and choose to deactivate all those that have not been upgraded.

    I hope that helps. ;o))

Just for inforamation and hopefully of some use: I had this same problem …….logged on and was faced with a blank screen.

I had installed two plugins the day before and wondered if that is where the problem lies. Both plugins had been activated and on shut-down the previous day there was no cause for any concern.

The cure was to FTP my blog folders and change the plugins PHP suffix to PHPS.

On retry, logon worked fine and without any glitches.

    Hope this helps. :o))

    p.s. I won’t be using or re-activating the two new plugins. :((
