In reply to: Hiding the title on my homepage onlyHi SK,
Sidebar *was* enabled. It was showing nothing.
Now I have disabled it, and it allows the post to take up the full width of the page.I do not know why it shows nothing??

Problem one is resolved, thank you!
I didn’t realise something as simple as a missing <php tag could alter it so much!Problem two:

In reply to: Hiding the title on my homepage onlyI’m sorry,
Now I’ve noticed another issue..
The titles on all other *pages* are small, and almost unnoticeable.
Also, the sidebar is no longer available when I view an individual post (not page!).I don’t suppose you’d be so kind? 🙂
Here’s the code for index.php (for posts!)

In reply to: Hiding the title on my homepage onlyHi syncbox
If you now look at the site, you’ll see that the main page has gone to the dogs. I don’t know why it has done this as I did exactly as you told me.
First I replaced it in the “default” location – no change.
Then in the “blueberry” location (current theme)I did it to page.php, as I use a static page.
Do you know why it does this?

In reply to: Editor replacing my <i> tags with <em>That’s a very cool plugin 🙂 I’ll look for it!
Damn, well I can live with them, I’ll just have to full edit. It only takes a moment more to do so I should be able to handle the wait 😉
Thanks very much for your help, I’ll class this issue as resolved now.
Thanks again.

In reply to: Editor replacing my <i> tags with <em>That is much clearer, thankyou.
I hsve done this and it seems to have corrected itself!
How were you aware of which line of code in my CSS was causing this? Is this common or did you have access to it?In a related issue, if I perform a quick edit and save, everywhere a ‘ is present, a \ will accompany it.
EG
Before the quick edit :
Don’t
‘the cat sat on the mat’After the quick edit, regardless of whether I made changes to that word or not :
Don\’t
\’the cat sat on the mat\’
This is also a little frustrating, as it means I have to continually load the full editor even for such simple things as a spelling correction.Any ideas?
Thankyou for your help thus far!
