In reply to: Same Old, Same oldLooks to me like you’ve put your FTP username and password instead of your mySQL database name, mySQL database username, and that user’s password.

In reply to: The ScriptyGoddess Read More Show/HideCourtney, it works perfectly on my site
I installed it a month or two ago, no worries. Just download the file as she say, rename it to a .php, upload it to your plugins directory, and activate it.
Voila!
Marc, it looks very much like a plugin to me, being that you download a file, that goes in the plugins directory, and is activated. No hacking necessary.

In reply to: Comments starting from number two?Ah, got it…
Because of the way my Theme works, when I installed the gravatar script I had to do it within the numbered list tages, so it was taking up the first place for some reason (even though I hadn’t placed it within li tags)
Got rid of gravatars (they slowed the site down anyways) and returned to the default version of the comments template.
Thanks for your help 🙂

In reply to: Help! No posts are showing up!Ah, of course.
Thanks for the help, (and yes, I will try ;))
I think I’ve figured out what caused it too. I installed Vanilla forum to play around with, and I believe that the cookie is calling itself abenweek.net, the same as my wordpress cookie. So, wordpress tried to read info from the cookie, and didn’t understand anything, hence the 404s 😉

In reply to: Best Photo Gallery? It would seem that you’re not closing the tags.
I also use Photostack, it’s very nice, and a small lightweight gallery. Next release should support subalbums too, which would be nice.
If you want to integrate with your site, I would suggest Gallery2 (latest snapshot build) coupled with the wpg2 plugin which can be found here

In reply to: Goodbye and good luck to all.I’m sad to see you go; I remember that you were the first person to help me when I first set up a blog in late 2003, before even the release of 1.0.
Enjoy your time offline 🙂

In reply to: Photopress helpThe image itself uploads fine, it’s just that Photopress for some reason can’t resize it. The “File not found” error has to do with teh thumbnail; which hasn’t been created.
I double checked my photos folder, and it is chmodded to 777.
Thanks for your reply though 🙂

In reply to: Bug: Default home page links to itselfYou see, the header doesn’t change, so it’s a link back to the sindex page from wherever you are at the moment. It’s not really that big of a deal.

In reply to: Feature Request: Spell CheckerWell, I’d suggest either posting by e-mail, and using the spell checker in Outlook (or any similar email client), or downloading and using w.bloggar to poast your messages, which has an in-built spell checker in it.
