What do you mean by properly size images? Could you please explain more?
Please try these two options:
Slider Settings -> General Settings -> Enable Automatically crop and resize slider images based on the size above
or
change the preloading option on Slider Settings -> Navigation -> Slide preloadingLooking forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for choosing Master Slider.
You are able to add text on free version, too. The difference is you need to add slide info on the free version, but on Master Slider pro layers are available and it is easier to work with text layers and you can simply change the style of your text.
Each slide can has its own slide info. The info.

Thank you for choosing Master Slider.
We have many users that are using Divi theme with Master Slider and we have not received any report indicating incompatibility of Master Slider with Divi so far.
Maybe there is a conflict between your plugins. Please deactivate all the installed plugins, except Master Slider. then reactivate them one by one. After activating each plugin, check out and see if the issue persists.
