This function is not written by us. It belongs to the GD library (https://www.php.net/manual/en/book.image.php). Most likely the GD library is disabled or removed.

We have tested the bbpress on our end and faced the same problem. Moreover, the shortcode of other plugins fails to work as well.

The issue is caused by one of the errors in your log. The one that is coming from cache plugin.
Deactivate that plugin or resolve its errors.
