Hi regme,
The last modified function is a value that is part of the core WordPress environment. We don’t set it – we only read it.
You would need to do some coding – or find a plugin – to handle changing that – and then we would simply pick up the dates.

Support at YoastHi alvaroj89,
The image you are setting is the default image that is ONLY used by Facebook if there is no other suitable image found in the post according to Facebook’s standards.
However, there obviously are other images, so Facebook is offering them, and ignoring the default.
You need to go into the PAGE that controls the home page layout, and into the page editor, and then down to the Yoast SEO box, into the social tab, and specify a Facebook image there.
That will assign an image to that particular page.
Then you need to go to Facebook’s debugging tool in order to clear the cache of the current images and get Facebook to pick up the newly manually-assigned image: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/

Support at YoastYou can either strip the queries off of the URL strings or you can tell Google not to index subpages of archives.
If you can provide your actual URL I might be able to give you a little better advice than that.

Support at YoastPolar-Vortex is certainly correct. Most of the time this error shows up because you’ve not already gone through the steps to properly add your website to Google Search Console. Doing that is separate from connecting our plugin to your Google Search Console report.

Support at YoastHi xbaha,
I’ve just ran your sitemap through a testing tool and it reports it’s valid for all tests.
Please try re-submitting your sitemap index to Google Search Console. Perhaps there was a hiccup with their system or with your hosting company.

Support at YoastWould you mind providing us with your blog URL?
Keep in mind that when you test for conflicts – you have to look at the source code of the website – to see how it’s being output.
Google will not change quickly so you can’t rely on a Google search to let you know if the plugins you’ve switched off have helped.

Support at YoastThank you for doing that Bunzer.
I’m sorry to hear that your theme didn’t properly save its settings – I know how frustrating that can be!
I have started a bug ticket here for this issue: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/3009
This bug ticket is only for those who have made sure that they are testing a theme with the title tag correctly set up and that can replicate it with a default theme and only our plugin.
Anyone else reading this thread – if that applies to you – and you have additional information about this bug – please post it in the GitHub thread.

Support at YoastHi MaAnna 🙂
Something on your main site is stripping the prefix off the majority of your URLs in your code. It’s not simply the canonical that is losing its prefix.

Either you’ve missed a plugin or there’s some fancy footwork in the .htaccess that has not gotten copied to your test site.
In what may be an unrelated note, the TEST site has a link to include a sitemap but has TWO http prefixes instead of one.
Additionally, your main site does not have a SINGLE line of comment code in the code. Which is probably being done by some additional feature, tool, minify, etc. That’s not our doing, but ALL the comment code is missing, not just ours.
In your main site – several of the social entries are included in duplicate – meaning you have more than one plugin adding them. For example: “twitter:description”. (I can’t tell which plugin, as generally that would be in the comment code, and you have none LOL!) That’s more than enough to totally muck a lot of things up.

Support at YoastSometimes strange behavior may be caused by a plugin or theme conflict. The fastest way to rule out conflicts is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Fourteen. If this resolves the issue, you have a conflict and should activate one plugin at a time until you locate the conflict. Finally, after all plugins are active, switch to your theme. This will narrow down the conflict to a specific plugin or a theme conflict.
If you are unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we wrote a small guide that will walk you through the steps. You can find it here: How To Check For Plugin Conflicts: http://kb.yoast.com/article/253-how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts

Support at YoastHi oana.gansca!
Unfortunately, there is no global filter available at this time. Perhaps you should encourage us to add one by opening an issue ticket request on our Github at: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo
If the whole sitemap index is 404, try this: http://kb.yoast.com/article/77-my-sitemap-index-is-giving-a-404-error-what-should-i-do
If one of the internal sitemaps (displayed on the sitemap index) is 404, try this: http://kb.yoast.com/article/16-my-sitemap-is-giving-a-404-error-what-should-i-do

Support at YoastThat’s a great question, Rik0399.
Here’s what Joost has to say about proper robots.txt files: https://yoast.com/wordpress-robots-txt-example/
Hopefully that helps!
