Advanced custom filed types text editor content not seen by plugin

Hello,

I created a custom page template that has two text columns. The content of each column is created with an advanced custom fields Wysiwyg Editor.(so the content of the page is not created using the default text editor, which is hidden from the page)

The problem is that the plugin doesn’t see the content. I get the message that the keyword doesn’t appear in the content but it does plenty of times.

I tried to unhide the default text editor and put some content in there and the plugin saw it. Therefor the problem is that that plugin doesn’t read the content in the advanced custom fields Wysiwyg Editor.

What can I do?

Hi oana.gansca!

You would need to create a filter for it to be seen, since the fields are not been seeing within the normal WordPress content box.

Hey Nile,

Thank you for your answer, that has definitely pointed me in the right direction.

From what I can see that is a solution that has to be applied for each advanced custom field. Well I have a lot of them and I’ll constantly be adding more as I will expand the website.

Isn’t there a way to apply a global filter?

Also, when I wanted to check the sitemap generated by the plugin I got a 404 error.

Do you have any idea as to why that happened?

Unfortunately, there is no global filter available at this time. Perhaps you should encourage us to add one by opening an issue ticket request on our Github at: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo

If the whole sitemap index is 404, try this: http://kb.yoast.com/article/77-my-sitemap-index-is-giving-a-404-error-what-should-i-do

If one of the internal sitemaps (displayed on the sitemap index) is 404, try this: http://kb.yoast.com/article/16-my-sitemap-is-giving-a-404-error-what-should-i-do
