it would be interesting to know which fatal error you got. The plugin is mainly tested on PHP5 so it would be surprising if there were any PHP version related errors.

if you leave the checkboxes NOT checked (empty), the pages will NOT appear in your sitemap. This is also the default behaviour for archives and categories 🙂
Did you rebuild the sitemap after you’ve changed the WordPress settings?
There is no right or wrong URL, but you should decide which domain u want to use (either with or without WWW) and should redirect all traffic from one domain to the other.

The sitemap plugin uses your blog settings. Make sure that you’ve entered the right URL in the WordPress General Settings page.

your sitemap is basically fine, only the stylesheet, which is not important for search engines, could not be loaded because its located on your .com domain instead of .no. Click on “use default” at the stylesheet options on the plugin configuration page to set the right value.

In reply to: [Plugin: Google XML Sitemaps] GSG will prevent 2.7 from workingCould you try to raise the memory limit of the plugin, for example to 50? You can do this under “Advanced options” on the sitemap settings page. Each WordPress release tends to use more memory so you may just hit the threshold with this release.
Could you please try this version and post there if it helped?

@jinkerbell: Your sitemap looks perfectly fine!
vagabond72, looks like your database was offline for a while, thats why you received an “error connecting to database error” error and after 30 minutes your host fixed the problem and your site was available again. Some people might have problems with the plugin, but there a many thousands of users who don’t. I can’t reproduce every problem and some are very hard to fix or caused by special server configurations.

In reply to: [Plugin: Google XML Sitemaps] no folder, but two trailing slashesSorry, I can’t reproduce this bug. I’ve tried permalink structures like /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%hour%/%minute%/%second%/%postname%/%post_id%/%category%/%author%/ and never ended in double slashes.
