Hi @gavin310 and @netnothing ,
Thank you for reporting this and we are sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue.
I have tested this on multiple sites on our end and was unfortunately unable to reproduce it. This type of error is usually related to the cookiedatabase.com server, which we will look into to prevent any further occurrences.
Could you please let us know if the issue is still appearing? If so, it would be very helpful if you could share your WordPress configuration details so we can try to replicate it on our end.

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Complianz reloads page after consentHi @terrapop ,
Thank you for reaching out!
Please note that discussing the premium plugin is not permitted per forum rules. Could you please contact us directly via our support page at complianz.io? This way we will be able to investigate the issue on your site and get it resolved as quickly as possible.
This thread will therefore be closed in order to comply with WordPress guidelines.

Hi there,We’re aware this was caused by our update, sorry for the trouble. The update introduced a bug in the soft cookie wall that caused the focus trap to stay active after consent, which ended up blocking all links on the page.
We already have a fix out, updating to v7.5.7.1 will resolve it. If you can’t update right away, disabling the soft cookie wall from the banner settings will do the trick in the meantime.
More details here: https://complianz.io/heads-up-soft-cookie-wall-focus-trap-issue-after-consent/.
Let us know if you’re still running into issues after updating!
Best regards,
Antonio
ComplianzHello @piroki ,
Thank you for reaching out.
The structure of the consent banner follows a fixed framework, and adjustments to this specific aspect are currently planned. That said, Complianz does offer the option to build a fully custom banner from scratch, which allows you to meet any specific accessibility or technical requirements you might have: https://complianz.io/create-your-own-banner-from-scratch.
This way, you can adjust the markup to your needs while still benefiting from the compliance features of the plugin.
Here you can follow the GH Thread about this here: https://github.com/complianz/complianz-gdpr/issues/436.
I hope this helps, wishing you a nice day!
Hi @richard_vermeer ,
Thank you for reaching out, what Google mentioned during your meeting is correct.
Consent Mode v2 requires two specific signals to be sent to Google: a default consent state (fired before any user interaction) and a consent update (fired after the user makes their choice on the banner). Without these, Google cannot apply data modeling for users who decline cookies, which can indeed lead to data gaps in your Google Ads reporting and campaign performance.
That said, Consent Mode v2 integration is only available in the Premium version of Complianz. With the free version, the plugin handles the cookie banner and cookie blocking correctly, but it does not automatically send the consent default and update signals required by Google. To resolve the issue Google flagged, you would need to upgrade our plugin.
I hope this helps.

AntonioHello @sip24 ,
Thank you for the update and for testing those steps.
First, regarding the PHP warnings you found in your
error_log(Mpdf.php), please rest assured that they are completely unrelated to the issue you are experiencing. Thempdflibrary is only used for generating PDF documents, and those are just minor warnings, not errors that would break the tracking functionality.I see that you are already using the latest version of Complianz, which is great. Could you please let me know which versions of WordPress and PHP you are currently running? I tried to replicate the issue on my end using WP 6.9.1 and PHP 8.5.3, but I couldn’t trigger those
mpdfwarnings.Since the standard troubleshooting hasn’t resolved the situation and there seem to be multiple issues overlapping, it would be best to investigate this closer. Could you please reach out to us internally using the Support section on our website?
This will allow us to dive into your specific setup, check if there is an actual bug, and ultimately solve it for everyone.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

AntonioHello @hupe13 ,
Thank you very much! In that case, you could add a fix in your plugin to prevent this issue from happening again.
The Media Library “grid” relies on wp-admin AJAX calls. During those requests,
wp_doing_ajax()is true, so Complianz initializes the cookie blocker and starts output buffering. That buffering is intended for front-end HTML, and it can unintentionally interfere with admin-ajax responses used by the grid (which is why the layout breaks). What you can do in your plugin is detect when the request is coming from wp-admin and is a Media Library AJAX call (e.g. the attachments query), and in that very specific context prevent Complianz’ cookie blocker from initializing.
Thanks again for sharing your findings, they were very helpful.
Hello @sip24 ,
Thank you for reaching out.
This looks like a UI bug that prevents the GTM code input field from displaying correctly. To fix it, please try the following steps:
- Go to Wizard → Consent → Statistics → “Do you compile statistics of this website?”
- Select a different statistics option (e.g. Clarity) and save
- Refresh the page
- Go back to the same section and re-select Google Tag Manager
The Statistics Configuration field should now appear again.
Please let us know if this resolves the issue.

AntonioHi Azragh,
Thanks for the update.
Just to let you know, we are already working on a task to comply with WP 6.9+.

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Can I use free complianz for AMP?Hello @danuzz01,
Thank you for reaching out.
We do have an existing integration with AMP for WP (Article 1 and 2). However, because it is quite old, it is currently being flagged as incompatible. The good news is that our development team has already created a task to look into revamping it.
In the meantime, you can still use it. We would love to hear your thoughts on how it works for you, as we always value our users’ feedback.

AntonioHello @njhconsultancy,
Thank you for reaching out.
We have actually already fixed the
_load_textdomain_just_in_timewarning in Complianz. Under normal circumstances, you should no longer see this notice. That said, the warning can sometimes reappear in specific setups if external sources, third-party integrations, or custom code introduce dependencies that trigger translation loading too early, specifically, before WordPress has completed its initialization (i.e., before the
inithook has executed).Regarding the Terms & Conditions plugin, this is one of the case explained above. Our development team already has a task assigned for this, and it is currently a work in progress. We expect it to be fully resolved in the next release of the T&C plugin.
I hope this helps shed some light on the situation. Thank you for your patience while we get this sorted out.

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Consent banner specific page exclusionHello @julieehme75010,
Thank you for reaching out!
Yes, that is absolutely possible. You can easily set this up by following the steps outlined in these articles:
- https://complianz.io/excluding-pages-from-the-cookie-banner/
I hope this helps you get it sorted out!

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Manage Service link is appearingHello @miki00,
Thank you for reaching out.
The “Manage services” link you are seeing is tied to our Consent per Service feature. This feature provides granular control, allowing visitors to enable or disable individual services. However, it only works correctly when your Cookie Policy is generated by Complianz. If the policy isn’t generated by our plugin, the link may fall back to an unrelated page.
If you would like to remove the “Manage services” text entirely, you just need to disable this feature. You can do this by going to: Wizard > Consent > Services > Do you want to use ‘Consent per Service’?.
Simply select “No” and save your changes. Once saved, the link will disappear from your banner.
I hope this helps!

AntonioHello @samsteely ,
Thank you for reaching out.I am sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue. Could you please let us know which specific plugin or theme feature you are using to create the gallery and header sliders?
The behavior you described (the slider breaking on the first load but working fine after a reload) usually indicates that the gallery contains a third-party script or tracking element. Complianz is correctly blocking this script prior to consent to keep your site compliant. Once consent is given (or upon reload), the script is allowed to run, which is why the slider works the second time.
To fix this and prevent the visual breakage, we need to identify exactly what script is being blocked so we can handle the integration properly.
Please share the name of the slider plugin and how you are implementing it, so we can proceed with the investigation.
Best,
Antonio
