    In reply to: Site hacked?

    yes you were hacked
my joomla site was hacked with teh same code
i know how it gets there ( through your FTP connection )
    but your question Fab_DM
    was how to correct this

incase it happens next time yuo need to open your FTP tool
chcek the DATE CHANGED on all files
pull down all the files that were effected on the same date.
If you have dreamweaver at this point
it would help you out ALOT!!

Also via your FTP tool, look for any IMAGES that were effected same day
    Dont download these images
just delete them from the server and upload new ones

    Yes it even infects images.

OK now with dreamweaver, use the FIND / EDIT ALL function.

What you need to do is open one of the php files in dreamweaver
    and look at the code
HIGHTLIGHT the code then click EDIT > FIND and REPLACE

In the top box you should PASTE the code you highlighted
that code would ONLY be the script that was inserted into your page

    in the BOTTOM BOX
    leave it blank

now before you hit EDIT you need to tell dreamweaver to file ALL THE FILES INSIDE THE FOLDER on your computer
where you downloaded all the files to.

It will search all pages in that folder
    remove the script info
then you can SAVE ALL PAGES

Now you have to do it again for that extra bit of script it added at the BOTTOM of your same php pages
do the steps again with new pasted code

    SAVE ALL PAGES

    reupload and you are done

    now the final step is
CHANGE ALL PASSWORDS EVERYWHERE including access to your FTP

if you want to know what this code does just reply
    ill let ya know

    sorry eight
    i stopped using it

    correct eight7teen
it asked for my twitter username in the settings area
so i dropped it in there “antifmradio”
then when i goto a post to click the SHARE with TWITTER button,
i end up with something like
    http://www.tinyurl.com/12343282238
is what it wants to forward to
    but
    when the twitter page loads
    i see this for example
    http://twitter.com/8210593173476506413
i just pulled that one our of my browser history

i have NO idea where its getting that url from
obviously the http://twitter.com/ part is correct but the part showing
8210593173476506413 ?????? the hell is that about?

the end result is that i get a
    Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!
    page on twitter

    naturally
    yes i am
even if i just click the lined called PLUGINS
ill see (ALL) types of plugins

i simply do not see it here

i had to do an auto install of it
(search for plugins via my ADD NEW PLUGIN) link from admin
then search for this particular one
then click the appropriate one that it found in the wordpress.org database

Even though i finally got it installed
    there was still a problem

    I setup the plugin properly
and gave it my TWITTER username for example

then i went to a topic on my WP
and i selected to share that topic to TWITTER
it kept going to so page on twitter that was NOT a useranme
and therefore it could not find the page

Didnt matter what short URL type i tried with it

    Just wasnt working

    My WP is 2.8.6
database is running 4.1 i think on php
i even tried it after switching it to php version 5.x

    still didnt work correctly

    chrisber you are correct
this question has been asked hundreds of times
however there is no solution in place
so it will continue to be asked until a resolution link is posted on the main page
    or
the downloaded copy from THIS WEBSITE contains the proper div markup

i also have this problem and its happening in IE & FIREFOX
needless to say i have NOT touched any of the code in the files
    yet the problem still remains.

so great work on lending a hand with a sarcastic answer there buddy
Really nice to see someone around here being “COMMUNAL” with their knowledge

i also haev this exact same problem
    not trying to thread jack
    but
i also thought it was an issue where i needed to have another file showing SIDEBAR for IE
well that file is there nad it works fine

it also works fine in FireFox

however when i finally reached hte full 10 topics on my miainpage
and the new link ( Previous topics )
    started showing on the bottom
my sidebar menu moved to the footer
and the footer information moved to the sidebar location

    thats in FireFox

    however in IE
    sidebar is at the bottom
    footer is at the bottom

now im not sure i can follow what you said as
This isn’t an issue with the code/markup in sidebar.php

    if it wasnt
then it would only happeo on ONE browser and not both

    (@antifmradio)

    one more thing
in FIREFOX the menu is at the bottom and the FOOTER is at the far right

in internet explorer the footer is where it should be (Bottom)
and the menu as is the bottom too (Standing vertically )
