Yesterday i backed up my site so I was thinking about re-installing the wordpress files again. Would that work?

What I’m going to do tonight is back up the past month of blog post and delete the current wp installation and install a new wp. I recently changed host – I used to be on hosting.co.uk now I’m on heart Internet. I might look into getting a reseller or my own server or something.
