Thank you for the suggestion! This plugin helped. Pity that only PRO version is for CF7, but I had no choice in this case.
@iqcomputing I did try all the suggestions, but nothing helped. Default theme with only CF7 and your plugin enabled – still no result.
Maybe the problem is that our WP install is built on https://roots.io/bedrock/, which has different folder structure.
