If I exclude the files from setting, would the change be revoked once modifications are detected? I’m just a bit worried that I change the setting and forget to change it back.

Thanks for getting back to me.
I’m more worried that whether those spammy search result pages are a result of coding being injected to my website. Because one of the guys in my community had the same issue, and soon after he reloaded a clean version of his website, the issue went away.
This is why I want to seek your expertise that whether a site clean up is required as I don’t have a clean version to upload.

Nah, they asked me to share admin login details in the end but I didn’t want to so I simply switch to another cache plugin. It’s funny how they can’t reproduce the error on their end. It shouldn’t be hard with the explanations that I’ve given them.
What’s Guest mode and guest optimization btw? I didn’t see those settings when I activate it.

It still doesn’t explain why the blocklist doesn’t get updated anymore from late December though? I’d at least expect a few IP addresses to be added to the list over the last month or so. This is because, before late December, I usually see the list having a few new addresses added each day. So with no new address being added to the list, it makes me anxious if there is an issue with my Wordfence plugin…I did check the ow long is an IP address blocked when it breaks a rule?, it is currently set for more than 1 hour.

I don’t have screenshots that can prove that she actually logged in within the 1 day lock-out period, so I’m just including a screenshot of her message to me in the below google doc link.
The weird thing is, I can never see her logging into Wordfence anymore since her first login on the 19th of Oct. Supposedly, she was locked out, and when she logged back in, there should be a record, but it’s nowhere to be found.
