In reply to: White space when inserting Text BoxSure, PD. I discovered that by centering the text box — by adding margin space — I was inadvertently adding margin space on all four sides of the box, rather than just left and right. Moving the box 50px in from the left margin therefore added 50px to the top and bottom margins as well.
So the solution is: Insert code telling the system to add only to the side or sides of the box that you want it to add to. For example: instead of inserting “margin:50px” you should specify “margin-left:50px” or “margin-right:20px” etc. That way, no white space gets added above or below the box.
It took me many hours to figure this out!

In reply to: White space when inserting Text BoxDoes anyone have any advice on this?
I think there must be a code for the reverse of   — which tells the system to move one space to the right.
The solution would be a code that tells the system to move one space to the left. But where to find the code?
Surely someone must know that code?
Thanks (in advance) for the help.

In reply to: White space when inserting Text BoxThat can’t be right, PD. There must be code to reduce white space for a single instance.
I don’t want to change the paragraph spacing, just reduce the extra white space that gets inserted whenever I add a text box.
What code would you use if you wanted to reduce spacing between two paragraphs — but only do it occasionally, not all the time?
Thanks again.

In reply to: White space when inserting Text BoxHi PD. No, there are no tags below the paragraph, this is text that I am creating. So, when I put a text-box between two paragraphs, a lot of white space gets added above and below the box. Which I need to reduce.
I need a code similar to nbsp; (with ampersand in front) to reduce (as opposed to adding space like nbsp; does).
Thanks,
AL

In reply to: ADMIN page won't displayThanks, I’ll try that. However they have not gotten back to me for over an hour (I’m going to try calling them tomorrow, they have no phone support on Sundays).
What do I do after the plugins are deactivated? (And how do I rename it back afterwards?)

In reply to: Ads have disappearedThanks again. However I used a different code for the original images —— —— with a jpg code inside the quotes. Does this make a difference?
The codes — with all the necessary info — are still in my Widgets. But the images are gone from the Media and don’t appear on the page.
Could they be someplace else in my system?
Btw, do I have to size the image to fit the sidebar before putting it in the widget?
Thanks again,
AL

In reply to: Ads have disappearedThanks, I’ll do that. I’m waiting to hear back from the clients to get new copies of the ads.
May need some help getting them re-loaded? Can I message you then if I have trouble? It’s been a long time since I’ve done that and can’t remember the procedure.
The ads go left and right of my main column — http://voiceofbaltimore.org/
Thanks so much,
AL

In reply to: Ads have disappearedTo NikV:
Thanks so much for your help. However I can’t find the ads in my “Media.” Is there someplace else they could have gone? Also, do you have any idea why they would have suddenly disappeared?
Thanks again,
AL
