Hi there,
It continues… I have flushed the DNS, cleared the cache, tried another browser (FireFox), deleted the wireless network from my settings and then signed back up… and still nothing.
It is very frustrating. I have spoken to Apple and they send me back to my server provider (my IP is not blocked from there)… so I reckon it must be an issue within my Mac that I can’t identify.
Are there any Mac users out there with suggestions?

Hi,
I have just used an iPad to login to the WP dashboard for my site, and I can get in and all seems to work fine.
The issue could then be my MacBook Air, and iMac…. specifically? But then why would I get an email?
Any ideas why that would be???

Thanks for the link – but I still don’t have access.
I have changed the htaaccess file (restored the backup file), removed all plugins by changing the ‘plugins’ folder to ‘plugins-temp’ (all by FTP) and created a new user through my server Control Panel.
When I type my URL in, nothing happens.
Similarly, when I type my URL followed by /wp-admin/index.htp nothing happens.
I can’t seem to get into my WP dashboard.
Any other ideas?

I still can’t get this working.
I started off with Search&Replace, using interconnect.
I then went down to follow the instructions under ‘Moving to a new server’.
I’ve then gone to login to my dashboard, using http://www.newwebsite.co.uk/wp-login.php and it just redirects to the live site.
It’s been 5 days trying to work this out…. I don’t know what to do next?!
Any guidance?

Skip the next 14 steps, under ‘On your existing server’.
And then start following the instructions further down the page, ‘Moving to a new server’.
Is that the right process?

I’m confused because I want to move to a remote server, don’t I?
I have been going through those steps, but I am now stuck on what to do on Step 8.
Does that make sense?

I am going through this now, and am on Step 8:
8. Move your WordPress core files to the new location. This includes the files found within the original directory, such as http://example.com/wordpress, and all the sub-directories, to the new location.Does this mean, move my files to the root directory on my remote server? As I don’t want to move them to new location on my local server.
