I can confirm this one. It’s not working on 2.8.1. The rel tag is there tho.
Yup. That’s the case. I’d like to get to the fix for the bug as well.

Adding
ini_set("zend.ze1_compatibility_mode",0);
to the wp-config.php fixed the issue.
