Hmm. I could maybe add option to specify which custom field’s value you want to use as the link.

You could then add a custom field named, for example, “custom_link”, choose “custom field” from the “link to” drop down menu, and then input “custom_link” in the “custom field name” field.

That would probably double the number of SQL queries for each gallery, I’ll see if I can think up a better solution.

This has been added in WordPress core, you can now sort items by column names in both ways.

Sorting by file size or picture dimensions would probably result in too many SQL queries, but I’ll test it out.

It’s WordPress that’s cropping the image sizes to the middle by default, but you can tell it not to crop the thumbnails by unchecking that option on the media settings page.

@dashaluna: I’m sorry but I wasn’t able to reproduce this error :/

I noticed it in v1.6.5.5 of the plugin, I’ve forgotten to port one function from new jQuery version to old, but that’s why I released v1.6.5.6, which has it fixed.

If it still does not work for you, please try this:

1. go to media settings page, check the last checkbox on the page (next to “Delete all options on deactivation?”), click “Save changes”
2. deactivate and uninstall “file gallery”
3. install “file gallery” again
