In reply to: [File Gallery] [Plugin: File Gallery] No toolbar on editor@meeker: File Gallery doesn’t add any new buttons to TinyMCE, but a new metabox on your post editing screen.
If you can’t see the File Gallery box, please check you media settings page and take a look at the beginning of “File Gallery” section, option named “Display File Gallery on which post types?” – make sure all the post types listed there have their checkbox checked.
@meeker: I don’t quite understand your first question, why would you have to type attachment IDs manually? If you could describe your workflow a bit, I could probably provide an answer.
Regarding your second question – that could be accomplished with a custom File Gallery template and a bit of Javascript, or maybe there’s another WordPress plugin that does what you need, but there’s no such feature in File Gallery yet, sorry.

In reply to: [File Gallery] How to add media tag to attachments on screen editing@aman: I haven’t gotten around to implementing that feature yet, but File Gallery is compatible with the Media Tags plugin which has the ability to bulk add/edit media tags.

In reply to: [File Gallery] [Plugin: File Gallery] Simple gallery WITHOUT Thickbox@charliebrimm: it’s not possible with the current version of the plugin, but I’ll remove the “link class” check in v.1.7.5. Hopefully, it will be out soon 🙂
@matsib: there’s another discussion about this here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/add-an-url-for-each-picture-of-the-gallery?replies=5.
It’s been on my todo list for a while now, but I haven’t had time to implement and test it yet.
In short, for now, the answer is no, but it will probably be possible in some future version of the plugin.

@jfk105: which template are you using?
With default template, this shortcode should work:

In reply to: [Plugin: File Gallery] Hiding post info@honshuwolf: this actually doesn’t have anything to do with File Gallery, this is the standard way your WordPress theme displays single attachments 🙂
The data you wish to remove should be in your theme’s ‘attachment.php’ file.
