[Resolved] [Plugin: File Gallery] Single pic to represent different galleries

  • Hello,
I know it is possible to separate different galleries by using the code include=”177,178,179″ to represent the different photos. However, I can see in a year’s time, that there are hundreds of photos on the website. This will be a nightmare to type in the correct code for each included photo. Is there no GUI which groups together the photos in an easy manner?

Secondly, is it possible to have multiple Galleries on 1 page where each gallery is represent by a single image/caption. Then if a user clicks on that image, the rest of the images for that gallery popup via thickbox or lightbox?

@meeker: I don’t quite understand your first question, why would you have to type attachment IDs manually? If you could describe your workflow a bit, I could probably provide an answer.

Regarding your second question – that could be accomplished with a custom File Gallery template and a bit of Javascript, or maybe there’s another WordPress plugin that does what you need, but there’s no such feature in File Gallery yet, sorry.

I now understand that photos are recorded by date upload, this first issue is no longer a problem. Many thanks for your reply.
