In reply to: Migration from one server to anotherHard to know exactly what is wrong, so I would suggest following the standard documentation:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress
With a little care, the instructions can be adapted for Cloning a site for testing, too.Personally, I find that the Duplicator plugin works in most situations, and automates almost everything:

In reply to: Issues with file ownership and FTP (on new WP installation)The most likely cause of this problem is not the permissions per se, but the Owner or possibly Group defined for the files. Unfortunately, FileZilla cannot change Owner/Group for you.
WordPress runs the best when it runs under the same UserID as the owner of the WordPress files.

In reply to: Memory Exhaust ErrorTalk to your web host’s support folks as some hosts set a limit of 256MB of PHP memory. “268435456” bytes is EXACTLY 256MB.
That is the first place to start since you say you have tried all the usual advice. I’m assuming, since you did not give exact details, that you tried to set PHP memory to more than 256MB in wp-config.php and php.ini (or its equivalent on your host).

In reply to: [Multiple Themes] Multiple Themes for Multiple Functions. It depends. If both themes use the WordPress login process, then a user will remain logged in moving between one theme and another on the same WordPress site. If not, probably not, but there may other solutions outside of WordPress, known as Single-SignOn (SSO).
What the plugin does less well revolves around access to Appearance features of each Theme. For example, if you want different Widgets for each Theme, you would have to try it to know if it will work with this plugin.
The Sydney theme in the Theme Directory has its own Support forum, where people who are familiar with that theme frequent. It is very doubtful that they will see your post here in the Installation forum.
I recommend re-posting your question there:

In reply to: Automatic Install on GodaddyGoDaddy Support is likely the only place that will help you with their automatic install process.
If you are willing to abandon that approach and try the standard WordPress install described on pages linked here:

we are going to be able to help a lot more.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: site page says comming soonThe domain is currently pointing at 1 and 1, not Hostgator. At least, that is what I see on my web browser.
Best to talk to Hostgator Support or read some of their info on changing Name Servers.

In reply to: Theme on External serverIt is worth adding that there are Minimum Requirements for WordPress, that your selected Host must meet:
https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/It is rare to find a Host that does not meet these requirements, but it does happen. I have seen, for example, low-end hosting packages that do not include a database. Very old versions of PHP or MySQL are also issues that I’ve seen from time to time.

In reply to: Memory issues on VPSNow I don’t know what to think. Here is what I was told by the Forum Moderator 4 months ago:
Let’s try to keep the hosting topic at top level; avoiding suggesting particular providers, services and costs.
