In reply to: [Multiple Themes] PLEASE HELPI have never seen anything like that happen before, but my first guess would be some sort of Caching issue, or even a temporary issue at the wordpress.org site. What I can say though is that this plugin does not “intervene” during Theme search and installation, so it is hard to imagine the plugin being the “cause” of your problem.
I would therefore do the usual kind of stuff to refresh caching: logoff your web site, close your browser and start it again (perhaps even try another browser), login to your web site again, and retry adding a new theme.
If you still think it is the plugin’s “fault”, you may want to install it again and immediately uninstall it, without activating it. That will ensure a clean removal of all of the plugin’s data stored in the WordPress database.
This is not official support, and I will send a link to this thread to ZatzLabs.

In reply to: Export/Import Of XML Files From WP.com to WP.orgThis is where I started when I ran into this problem in the past:

In reply to: Export results in empty xml filesOn a hunch, I tried EXACTLY what you said. And got the same result!
The Start Date must be BEFORE (or the same as) the End Date. Otherwise, you get an XML file with nothing interesting in it.
Once you have it working, would you like to report it as a Bug, or would you like me to?

In reply to: [Multiple Themes] DatabaseAlthough I’m not sure that I understand your question, I do know that the plugin does not separate Users or Databases by Theme.
Official Support from the current Plugin Author is only offered on his own site now. Take a look at http://zatzlabs.com/forums/forum/multiple-themes/ and you can submit trouble tickets here: http://zatzlabs.com/submit-ticket/

You are going to need to re-post there. Actually, 4.7 is discussed in that forum.

In reply to: [Multiple Themes] theme is not working on frontend when user is not logged inAnytime that has happened in the past and been reported here, it always turned out to be a Caching issue. Either:
- Caching by a WordPress Plugin or Theme;
- Browser Caching
- ISP Caching on your Internet provider
For further assistance, you should contact the Plugin author, as explained in “IMPORTANT: Support has moved” at the top here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/jonradio-multiple-themes/

In reply to: Installing multiple independent wordpress sites in subdirectoriesAlways better to start a new topic thread, which a Moderator may do, but I’ll answer your question.
The key piece is
I have already tried WordPress in Network or Multisite mode. This will not work because it requires subdomains. I need separate domains.
This plugin allows you to create a WordPress Network with each Site having its own Domain Name:

In reply to: FileZilla Disconnecting During UploadSorry that I did not respond to your follow-up questions. I had assumed, incorrectly, that the relatively new WordPress Support Forum update would automatically notify me of responses, but I was wrong.
Glad that you got some help from your host.

In reply to: Softaculous Foot PrintYes, the MySQL database gets created for you.
Personally, I always recommend that people install WordPress manually, rather than use an installer like Softaculous. Mainly because the experience and expertise that you gain from doing the install yourself will help later on, especially when a new version of WordPress comes out. But also because I still, 7 years after I stopped using installers, read in these forums about people who have trouble re-installing or updating WordPress that was originally installed with an installer.

In reply to: FileZilla Disconnecting During UploadI switched to FileZilla years ago because of its persistence in uploading files even when the FTP Server has potential issues on the web host end. But you cannot just ignore all the errors (partially uploaded files being rewritten) and hope for the best. You really do need to make sure that FileZilla has not tried any file too many times and given up.
All that said, I no longer upload the thousand plus files in WordPress to a web server, because of the risk of missing a failed transfer, but more because I’m just tired to all their prompts to re-upload a file.
If your web host supports unzipping files, I would recommend using FileZilla to transfer the .zip or .tar.gz from WordPress’ download page to your web host, and unzip it after it is transferred.
Of course, transferring big files is even more likely to be a problem with FTP timeouts, but it is worth trying.
