Last straws – Some settings show that they’re enabled, but they don’t actually work when testing them. Also, I changed the login slug and while the url I created does work, so does /wp-login! It’s not obscuring it at all. Makes no sense.
Enough is enough. I deleted this plugin and installed All in One. So far, so good.
theotherguy – FWIW, the tip from iThemes almost got me fixed. Instead of /wp-admin I had to use /wp-login to get back to the dashboard (/wp-admin still gave me a 404).
