Thanks for your report. Can you give us some more details on the issue so we can troubleshoot it?
Did you enable the login security feature? If so, how did you configure it? What error message did you receive when attempting to log in? Are you using any other security or login related plugins on your site?

In reply to: [6Scan Security] 6scan stole my private info without me even registeringHello,
It is very strange that this happened to you. Are you 100% sure you did not click Agree by accident? Had you clicked Agree the system would have behaved exactly as you mention, which is why I ask.
We are definitely not interested in collecting your data without your explicit consent, and do not want to violate the WP plugin guidelines – that’s why that dialog is there in the first place. I ask your help to figure out how this happened and make sure it does not happen to anyone else in the future.
If you could kindly send us the URL of the site you installed the plugin on (either by reply here or privately to support@6scan.com), we would like to review the logs on our end and see what they show. Please also tell us your operating system (Windows/Linux/Mac) and the browser you are using, in case this is a browser quirk we might have missed during our testing.
Thanks for your help, and I apologize for the system’s misbehavior. With your help we’ll get to the root of the issue and fix it.

In reply to: [6Scan Security] 6scan associated with servers that host hackers???Hi dancallaghan,
Unfortunately, that happens occasionally. In order to scan your site for security vulnerabilities, our scanner performs actions similar to what a hacker would do — only that our scanner will never use a vulnerability it finds against you like a hacker would. Occasionally, some services will confuse our scanner with an actual hacker and add us to blacklists.
We will contact IPillion to have the listing removed. However, rest assured that the listing is due to confusion and we are not hosting hackers on our servers.

In reply to: 6Scan is warning about a comment posting forgery ?Good day Harish,
You are right.
We have just changed our vulnerability reporting functionality.
Manually fixed vulnerabilities will no longer be counted as active.The counter value will be updated on the next scheduled scan (You should see it within a day)
Thank you for this feedback – don’t hesitate contacting us with new ideas/comments!

In reply to: [6Scan Security] 6scan install issues on Zeus and Apache serversGood day clumzoid,
We are checking the matter.
In the meanwhile, perhaps you could try the next action:
Open the file admin/includes/common.php , go to line 457, which contains the next string:$tmp_fname = untrailingslashit( $dir_name ) . ‘sixscantmp_’;
Replace it with the next line:
$tmp_fname = trailingslashit( $dir_name ) . ‘sixscantmp_’;
(Basically remove the “un” part)Please tell us whether this works.
