Hmmm I managed to achieve the effect I wanted by using the Flexi Pages Widget

works great, but still IMO it’d be a nice feature to have it built into the “official” pages widget…?

Thanks for the reply, I don’t really any PHP though, I could try dropping the page.php from the DEFAULT theme and try and hack around that….. but I Was wondering weather anyone else had had the same issue?

there is no page.php file in the theme 🙁
how else can I achieve this?
