    Hi,

    After installing and activating Yoast SEO 15.6- it is causing an issue while editing on Elementor. There is a freezing grey screen. If safe mode is enabled OR deactivate Yoast it starts to work.

    Hello Hum,

    We are sorry that you are experiencing issues with the plugin.

    Can you please confirm you are using the latest version of Elementor and WordPress with Yoast SEO 15.6?

    Thanks for the screenshot. We weren’t able to replicate this issue with Yoast SEO 15.6 and WordPress 5.6. There is a recent release of Yoast SEO 15.6.1.

    Just to be sure, we would like to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur. The fastest way to do this is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Nineteen

    Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check without affecting normal visitors to your site.

    As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts.

    Thank you again for your reply and suggestions. The canned reply is not applicable to my issue I believe, because if I deactivate all non-Yoast plugins or enter troubleshooting mode with Health Check plugin I can’t edit with Elementor in both cases.

    So, goodbye!

    BTW, I updated Yoast to 15.6.1 but nothing changed.

    I TESTED ‘Troubleshooting Mode – enabled’ with the default theme and elementor and the result is same- freezing screen. Conclusion- These two plugins are not happy to see each others.

    @etchbee

    Thanks for your feedback.

    We are sorry to hear you’re experiencing problems with Yoast SEO.

    We understand you tested the issue in Troubleshooting mode with the default theme, Elementor, and Yoast SEO active but the same freezing screen appears. We’re curious, did you check if any JavaScript errors appear in your browser console?

    If the problem still occurs, we’d kindly ask you to submit a bug report in GitHub so that our developers can investigate it? Please, include as much information as possible in the bug report so that we can reproduce the issue. This KB article explains how to write a good bug report.
