Support » Plugin: WP-Invoice - Web Invoice and Billing » [wp-invoice-history] Shortcode Bug

  • I posted about this here:

But since it hasn’t been updated in months I thought that I would try to let developers know from here. Honestly you have a support forum that isn’t even for support and it’s full of angry users (free/paid) and tons of unanswered support questions. Additionally I refuse to fill in a premium ticket where it forces me to pay so that I can report a bug in your plugin and have you look into it.

When using the [wp-invoice-history] shortcode the issue is that no matter where you put it on a page it always loads the invoice history above any content entered in the visual editor, despite the shortcode being entered below the content.

    – Created page Invoice
    – Entered The following in the visual Editor:

    Manual Invoices

    – Viewed the page
    – Content displays as:

    Active Invoice(s)
    Manual Invoices

Additionally is there a way to:

    1) Prevent the history shortcode from displaying on individual invoices; just display on the main invoice page.

    2) add a “You currently don’t have any invoices” message to the shortcode if the user is logged in and doesn’t have any invoice history?

    Hello @amber,

first I have to say that our UsabilityDynamics forum supposed to be a community not a support center. But we do support for those who create premium topics.

Regarding that old topic – Denys is no longer responsible for support. I will try to help you.

I need some time to test. Will keep you updated in this thread.

that actually has been fixed already and included into the next release of plugin.

We are going to push it on Monday.

    Hi Anton,

I realize this about the Forum.

While I don’t mind paying for customizations (styling, enhancements etc.), paying to send bug reports and plugin errors to have reviewed/fixed isn’t logical; at least not to me. There doesn’t really appear to be another way for your users to submit bugs to have them acknowledged/looked at (without paying a fee) other than the forum (unless I missed it).

Perhaps opening a Usability Dynamics bug tracker/bug report section of the forums or alternatively maybe switching to a yearly support subscription (since your plugin is free) with access to an actual support forum would help alleviate some of the tension that seems to build from users in regards to the UD community forum. Just some suggestions. 🙂

Anyway, thanks for looking into this and glad to hear that it’s fixed. I look forward to Monday’s release.
