Can anyone respond to this post?

    Jon,

You ever get an answer from anyone or test it out?

I use Yoast also, but am thinking of adding in the plugin to get more stats in my WordPress dashboard so I don’t need to log into Google Analytics to view all my stats.

    I haven’t received an answer.

I tested it but it doesn’t work. I am going to look for another solution.

    Greetings,

You don’t have to turn on the tracking, see #6 in the installation guide:

    6. Use Google Analytics Tracking options to configure/enable/disable tracking.

If you don’t turn on the tracking code it won’t insert it, but you still get the stats from your Google Analytics account if you so desire.
