Yes, it is possible to connect WordPress with MSSQL. However, it’s not officially supported by WordPress, so you may face some compatibility issues.

WordPress requires MySQL or compatible database (MariaDB is 100% supported, other clones like Percona are not guranteed to work, but they will)
