Hi there. I am trying to set up sharing in Jetpack, which is installed on my wordpress site. Whenever I try to configure, I get this message:

You don’t have any WordPress sites yet.
Would you like to start one?
    Create Site

Why won’t it recognize the site that it is installed on? And how do I fix this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

@barbpark – thanks for reaching out!

There are various features in Jetpack that requires that you connect to a WordPress.com user account in order to be fully activated.

Note that WordPress.com accounts are different from the account you use to log into your site. WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress.org sites are different entities. Visit the following link to learn the differences:

If you’re prompted to create a WordPress site, that means you’re not logged into the correct WordPress.com account that your Jetpack connection is associated with.

You can see the username of the WordPress.com account you’re connected to under Jetpack -> Dashboard -> scroll down to the Connections section and in the “Account connection” module you’ll see “Connected as [username]”. That’s the username you need to be logged into at WordPress.com.

Go to your account page and check you’re logged into that username and if not, click the “log out” button and log in again using the correct username.
