On wider screens when all 6 search/filter options are displayed in one row, the search box would be easier to use if it were wider. Right now each item in the row has an equal width. Is there a way to widen the search, compressing the others, or to to display the search and list/map on one row and the other 4 on a second row below it?

    Thanks
    Ron

    Hey Ron,

What’s your URL? The first thing I recommend is to make sure that your meeting finder is taking up the full available width in your theme. Lots of times I see padding added by the theme which scrunches everything down. https://aasanjose.org/meetings is my site, it’s sort of the typical width that I’m expecting.

You can of course make it wider on wider screens by using a theme that has a fluid width, or making the overall width wider with CSS. Eg https://refugerecovery.org/meetings

But yes you can definitely use CSS to widen out the search box by either narrowing the others, or by moving it to multiple lines. All the widths are already set in CSS so it should be pretty standard.

Yeah so looks like you can’t get any wider with that theme. To make the search wider you could consider dropping the time box, since I don’t see that as being that relevant given your coverage and density.

I can’t write the CSS for you, but I can make it easier by giving those boxes classes that you can use in your CSS. I’ll do that in the next update.

Great. I’ll look forward to the update. I appreciate your willingness to serve.
